"I can't wait until I'm eight, For then I'll be baptized, you see"

Pre-Baptism photo. Brayden couldn't wait, he was so excited!

Our little family before we took on the rest of the day!!!

After we got home Buck and I gave Brayden his present. He received his very own scriptures with his name on them. Grandma and Grandpa Phillips gave him the carrying case along with a scripture marking pencil. He was so excited!

What a wonderful day we had. Here is a little run down of the meeting, for those of you who couldn't come.

We also asked those that wanted to, to write on a 4x6 card their thoughts or their testimony to share with Brayden. We will put together a book so Brayden will remember what a special day it was and those that were a part of it.

Brayden was confirmed on Sunday during Sacrament meeting. What a special time we have had with family that came in from out of town and with the great friends we have here in our ward. We are so very grateful to all of you who have helped Brayden make the choice to be baptized. I would like to add that back in April we had Brayden start taking the missionary discussions, to further prepare him and us as a family for Baptism. We are grateful for the many sets of missionaries who came into our home to teach us. They were the best and wish all of them could have been here, but we understand how the work of the Lord goes!!!

Christmas Day

Christmas was exciting for all of the kids. Poor Santa let the boys down this year, they were sure hoping for a Nintendo DS, but when we met with Santa he told us that they were not quite old enough. He brought legos instead. He wanted them to use their creativity, instead of losing it. They had a blast and spent hours building and creating. I think that Santa forgot Uncle Trevor. He sure enjoyed them just as much as the boys! Maybe the Easter bunny will follow through for Uncle Trevor. Miranda got her very own kitchen with food. She loves to pretend to cook and especially wash the dishes. (Now that we have it home, it is set up in the kitchen so she can cook right along side Mom). We got Guitar Hero World Tour for the Wii. Now that we have done Rock Band, it is time to broaden our Horizons. We just can't get enough! Maybe Buck will become a Pro and make us our millions!!! We can only wish! Love ya Husband!

Happy Holiday's to all of you!!

Brayden is 8!!!

All of the 2nd graders sang to the December Birthday's. Brayden shared Cristmas tree cakes and punch with his class on Thursday December 18, 2008.

It's crazy to think that the kids were outside on Dec. 18 without coats and there was no snow, and now it is way below freezing and we have about 2 feet of snow on the front lawn.

Brayden was such a sweetie and shared this very special day of turning "8" with his little sister Miranda who was scheduled to have surgery. Although he was not with Mom and Dad all day, he and Gavin spent the entire day with Grandpa Phillips. They rode Trax (a train) to the hospital to see Miranda after surgery, went to "French Fry Friday" on a Monday (this tradition started when we lived with Grandma and Grandpa Phillips, we would go to lunch with Grandpa, usually on Friday's to the Artic Circle by Grandpa's work), they shopped, they picked up Grandma from work, rode Trax back to the car and went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa at Carl's Jr. We love you Brayden very much and are very happy that you have chosen to be baptized! More to post on the baptism at a later date. You are a wonderful son and big brother. You bring lots of sunshine into our lives! I just want to send a big Thank you to my parents for helping out during the Christmas break with the boys. You are great! We love you very much! Thank you for your support.

Happy Birthday Brayden!

Christmas at the O.K. Corral!

The 2nd Graders at Kathryn Senor Elementary put on their music program on Dec. 9, 2008. Their performance was a musical called Christmas at the O.K. Corral. Brayden was casted as Santa Claus. The kids not only had to learn all of the songs that they had been learning since August, but those that were given a part needed to memorize their part.

One of the Mom's put together the set. Great Job!

I know that it is kind of dark sorry. It is the best picture that we had that turned out.

Santa: "This is serious! I'd better send help! Would someone send The Candy Cane Kid in her Please?
Kid: "You sent for me?
Santa: Read this.
Kid: Oh, no!
Santa: I think you know what to do!
Kid: I'm on my way!
At the end he waved to everyone and said Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

What troopers with the lights blaring down on all of them! By the end Brayden was sweating buckets and couldn't wait to take off the wig/beard and get rid of the pillow. We are so proud of him he did such a great job!
